Dhruv Rathee: modern activist

Dhruv Rathee is an Indian YouTuber, Activist, and Mechanical Design Engineer who shares his views on contemporary social, political, and environmental issues of India. In 2014, during his higher studies, he created his YouTube channel under his Dhruv Rathee, and initially, he posted some travel and photography videos. And currently he has more than 4.4M subscribers and more than 350M views on his main channel.

About two years ago, as the internet was becoming more available for me, YouTube became my primary source of entertainment and streaming. Once I landed upon one of his videos and as it happens on YouTube, recommendations of his videos started coming on my feed and I became a regular viewer and subscriber.

The topics of his videos range from political to current affairs, topical to international incidents. All the videos have a certain format in which the introduction and context setup is the first section, the second section talks about the points and information related to that topic and the last section contains the impact and conclusion of that topic. He tries to deliver the points as precisely and simply as possible.

The thing that I appreciate about the content is that it tries to be based on facts and pieces of evidence. The points made present make arguments for both sides of the spectrums. The topics chosen are diverse and relevant as well as important. The videos try to argue for truths and point out wrongs. The videos are very informative in nature and try to educate the viewers and ask them to think critically.

Dhruv as a person has some qualities such as composure, hard work, knowledge, willingness to learn, sense of responsibility, etc. These attributes motivate me to be like him in the sense that tries to voice an opinion, think of the statements and situations objectively, verify your opinions with facts. Be more reasonable with your arguments, etc.
